"propergol y colargol is the result of the meeting of two musicians who decided, in july 2002, to share and to confront their musical approaches. the album presented here was produced in brest (finistère - france) between 2002 and 2003. inspired by the atmospheres developed by stylus or sonic boom and admiring the compositions of organisation (kraftwerk's first band), we tried to create a music where the feeling of immersion would prevail. far from music for massages and other cerebral... Desohll is Joomoonaz, based in the Netherlands. Musical inspiration is found in the sounds of Earth, Gaia. Sounds that are around us, but we choose to ignore for one reason or another. These sounds are monotonized by Desohll, yet keeping a strange and subtle variance. This is Desohll's second release, but it constitutes the first-ever recordings he has made. Sound sources are the occurences in an empty hallway along with minute, deformed sine-wave tones. The soundscapes is only fully appreciated... ( 1 reviews ) Topics: ambient, longform, drone

This meditative long-form drone ambient piece is the second part of Sir-Boy's relaxing "Guided Sleep" series. About the album: "The principle behind sleepshaping music is that it should have the ability to aid the listener in moving from conscious to unconscious mind. Once the user makes his or her way to a peaceful state of relaxation, the music should take over as a mental guide. Guided Sleep Symphony no. 2 is a simple yet interesting drone designed to aid relaxation. The... ( 1 reviews ) Topics: ambient, synthesizers, soundscape, Dreamscape, Meditative, Sir-Boy

I recently met Cousin Silas for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I was taken by how genuinely lovely he was … a real down-to-earth chap with a wicked sense of humour … generous to a fault and a pleasure to be with. I say this because whilst I was down staying with him … he spoke of the Dronescape series and made particular mention of this instalment - Dronescape 010 (waag_drs010) - his tenth dronescape. He spoke of this being his best yet. Not in a bragging kind of way because he... ( 1 reviews ) Topics: ambient, longform, drone

Pandemia is a very occasional cooperation between Hackeronte (who recently released his first work for Nishi) and Erratic (Entity). This time the occasion was the transit of Venus, which occurs June 8th 2004 (for the first time since 1882). In an attempt to capture a fitting sonic environment for this event, 5 slowly progressing ambient tracks emerged in which glimpses of countless contrasting frequencies are coming to gently oscillate your brain with moving textures.... "One day I was sitting in my room, watching the rain through the window. It was late afternoon, quite dark around. The drops were hitting the glass from the outside - for me it was only a rumbling. I also heard a subtle drone but I couldn't think a way where it comes from. There should be only silence around but I still heard these drones. Was it in my head? One important thing: that rain lasted four hours. Fot this whole time I was sitting there, looking, listening. Apart from anything I...
